Happiness is having your own blog so you can post whatever you want…. as random as it may be. My life has been fairly random lately, so this is pretty spot on. This week’s highlights consist of organizing the garage… Would you take a look at the spider we found in there. (He’s been hiding since Taylor was in the 4th grade)
On Monday, we had a little fun at work. All of the projects are wrapping up since it’s the end of the biennium and we had an hour or so to celebrate the teams’ successes. The entertainment consisted of two project teams battling it out at Family Feud. If you’ve seen the show, you know how it goes. If you haven’t, please come out from the rock you’ve been under and turn on the TV. I won’t say which team won, because that’s really not the point of the whole thing. (that and I’m a bad loser). Here I am, going head to head with the opposing team – My question was “One hundred models were surveyed. What did they say was the ugliest part of their body?” I scored the #1 answer with “FEET”!
On some other random day this week, that I can’t remember, Jason decided to finally spray the wasps that have decided to call our house their home. The way he setup the ladder in the back of the truck, climbed directly under the wasp nest and sprayed straight over his head looked like I might get some pretty action packed pics. But, his plan was a success and we’re wasp free… at least on that corner of the house.
Today, Sydney had her last ballet class before their performance next weekend. Since I cut her hair pretty short a month or so ago, I was a little concerned that I wouldn’t be able to get it into a bun, so we had a little trial run this afternoon. Needless to say, there was lots of yelling and screaming because once the gel is in her hair, it’s practically impossible to comb without pulling. I hope the professional photographer gets a good picture of her next Saturday because she wouldn’t do a thing for me. Here’s the best of the bunch and it turned out very blue (because I had my white balance set for indoors and we were outside), so I switched it to black and white.
Here’s a more typical shot from our little photo shoot, just so you can see the silly goose I’m working with. She has the cutest purple costume. They took measurement back in January and someone hand made them for the girls. Isn’t it gorgeous? I thought it was neat that I took ballet for about a year when I was little and my outfit was purple, too.

So sweet - love that black and white shot of Sydney! And I'm sure the recital will be great!

ReplyDeleteOMG, that is a *beautiful* picture of your daughter!! (the B&W pic) It might even look better (I'm not sure it really could, it is sooooo great already) if you maybe colorized something on it, like her dress? Just a thought, but you took an awesome picture, I'm jealous!!
