On Sunday... I did not convince my husband to go to church with me by saying "you don't have to go with us, just don't be mad when me and the kids go do something fun afterwards". Nope.. that would never work anyway. : ) We did not drive 30 miles after that just to get breakfast at some restaurant in Matlock (yes, the city, not the tv series with Andy Griffith!), but if we had, we would have eaten at the Loggers Bar & Grill. I may have eaten a plate full of french toast, eggs and bacon..... but I definitely didn't eat a plate full of fried gizzards (cuz that would be WAY too Southern for my husband to handle!)
While at lunch, the waitress suggested we take the little ones over to the local school where they were having some sort of festival. Since we'd already messed up our plans to work on the kid's room today, we set off to find the festival.Once we got there, I figured I might as well take a few pictures. Lately, I've been carrying around both of my cameras trying to figure out which one takes the best pictures for me. So, when we first get there, I did NOT snap my first picture and then get a message on my camera that the CF card was full, because I NEVER would have left home with a full card and no backup!
As I'm walking back across the football field to my car to retrieve camera #2, I'm thinking to myself how lucky I am to have a backup. Once I've got the camera in hand, I ran back across the field to take pictures of the kids riding on a sled pulled by a steam engine. (Bet you'd like to see a picture of that!) At that point, I did NOT get a message that there was NO CARD in the camera! Are you kidding me!!! I would NEVER be dumb enough to forget to put my card back in the camera.
Then, I did not run back across to my car to get camera #1 again. I did not flip through the pictures and delete anything that looked remotely blurry or too bright just so I could have room for a few pictures to document our day!
Nope... not me. But if I had, I would have taken pictures like these....

We also stopped at a little coffee shop in Shelton that had a great espresso sign and you know how I can be about coffee!

Too funny that I know those places! That last sign is hilarious!
ReplyDeleteGreat pics - definitely worth filtering the memory card for.
Oh... at least you didn't get all the way to KONA HAWAII, take a million pictures of your honeymoon, then lose the memory card. That wouldn't have been me... nope.
Sounds like a great time this week!
