Crazy Day… and it’s only half over

I can’t believe how busy we’ve been today and it’s only 11:30.  I’ve got a couple of minutes to make a quick post and then I’m headed to the kitchen to make lunch.

The kids had their first soccer game this morning. Taylor was barely awake, which is probably the result of him staying up until 4:00am last night.  He opted for a cup of coffee to help him stay upright.

Sydney really did a great job.  She got to play goalie for the first half and then ran around the second half.  Thank goodness for 12 minute halves.

Chase, on the other hand had a rough first half.  Here’s where he spent the entire first half…. pitching a fit all by himself. At first, he was sitting by Taylor and I, but he was too loud, so I moved him away.  He did better the second half and got in some game time. : )

Overall, it was what I expected of 3 and4 year olds. The coach has even decided to cut our practices to 30 minutes, due to the non-existent attention spans of these kids. Ha!  I’m good with that!

And, everyone’s favorite part of youth sports… SNACKS!

After the game, we spent a little time at the playground.  It’s hard to resist when all the games are at the elementary school.  They can spend a lot more time playing on the playground than the soccer field.
