Monday

Sunday was a day for rest.... back to work and blogging!

Happiness is a trip to our fabulously remodeled grocery store! If you look closely, you'll see that Sydney is wearing Chase's pants. She messed hers up at school and had to wear his home.

Happiness is a great produce section!

Happiness is endless options for cheese. Who doesn't love cheese?!?

Happiness is mmmmmm.... cake! No, we didn't get the cake, but we did get a few cupcakes.

Happiness is candy! How can you just choose one?

Here's the one!

How many grocery stores have a reading area like this?

Check out the assortment of Louis L'Amour books! I bet my Mom has read most of them.

Happiness is stopping to smell the flowers!

Of course there's a Starbucks in the grocery store, too....

No, it's not coffee! You think I'd hype him up on caffeine before bed??? It's caramel apple spice. The kid's favorite. (Now that I think about it, there's probably enough sugar in there to keep him up for several hours)

Well, time for bed.... You guessed it.... another Dr. Seuss book! How many books did that guy write?

Happiness is Daddy reading a book before bed. It's a nice change from Mom.

Happiness is playing with the dollhouse before bed ... fun stuff!

Thursday

One day closer to the weekend!

And here's how it started.... with the breakfast of Champions!

A grande non-fat one pump white mocha, no whip and perfect oatmeal with the works (brown sugar, mixed nuts, raisins, cranberries, blueberries, etc...)

And here's how it ended... with another book before bedtime. Sydney is really getting into taking pictures for the blog. I think she likes seeing herself on the screen. : )

Tonight we read Dr. Seuss's book.... The Lorax

Sydney also wanted to take pictures of some of the pages that she liked best.

Happiness is having your kids love books! We don't read books every night, but when we do, it's something the kids really enjoy.

Happiness is taking your son to the doctor and finding out he's not anemic, his chest scan is clear and his heart looks OK. (Taylor had an episode at the gym this week. He got dizzy and blacked out, so we're having some tests run to see what's causing the problem). More to come. Next is scheduling another heart test. I can't remember what it's called, but it's something like a sonogram for your heart.

Happiness is going to bed super early... which is what Jason did tonight. He was in bed by 6:30. My sweetie works too hard!

Wednesday - It's Hump Day!

It's been a busy day, but there were some fun stuff, too.

Tonight was bread making night. Sydney and Chase helped me finish up the mix while Taylor helped by taking the pictures. Thanks Taylor for tearing yourself away from the computer for a few minutes!

Chase poured the flour...

Sydney poured the sugar....

and I poured the milk. (I'm not completely crazy!)

After the batter was poured in the pans, we sprinkled sugar and cinnamon on top.

And finally... it's time to do the dishes! Put 'em to work early... that's what I say!

Drumroll please...... Tada!

Now, it's off to bed for the little ones. Here's what they picked:

Sydney liked the last page of the book the best with all the sleeping Dr. Suess characters, so she wanted me to take a picture.

And finally, I surveyed the kids about what their favorite part of the day was....

Sydney - Enjoyed playing Duck, Duck, Goose at school.

Chase - Took off his socks and showed me his feet... Not quite sure what that's about.

Taylor - Enjoyed hanging out with his girlfriend before school. They had a 30 minute late start today for clubs.
