It's been awhile since I posted anything and I have to say ...Happiness is NOT being sick with a bad cold and topping it off with a migraine. I can't even remember feeling worse than I did this morning.... and I mean early morning, too.
It's almost like a Not Me Monday, except not that funny.(WARNING: The next bit is just me whining, so beware!!!)
I was not up at 11:00p, 1:30a and 3:00a taking care of my dog that just puked in my bedroom, my spare room and her crate, respectively. I did not wake up with a massive headache and an 8am appointment to take my car to Honda for a tune-up. I did not throw up all my headache medicine in the car while driving to said appointment. (if something like that had happened, Happiness is the forethought to put plastic liners in my car trash can!) ...(I have to share.... when I pulled onto the shoulder to throw up, Sydney said "Are you OK Mommy" to which I replied "yes, I just threw up"... Chase finished the conversation off with "I wanna see!")
I did not skip all of the errands I had planned for my day off and come home and go back to bed and continue to throw up.... nope... not me. I didn't go back to Honda, pick up my car and drive to Taylor's school for his Student Led Conference and sleep in the parking lot for another 45 minutes wondering if I'd make it through the conference. Nope.... I did none of these things!
(**OK... Whining over**)
I have to admit, after that little nap in my warm car, I felt quite a bit better. I even dragged Taylor around with me for the afternoon, doing the errands I had planned for the morning. I finally settled on a paint color for the kids room. It's called "Grasshopper Wings".
I also wanted to post a pic that I had promised my parents a few days ago. We started playing around with Chase's hair this week. Since it's nice and short now, there are a lot more fun things you can do, like this!

We also ate out tonight at Red Robin. Sydney took most of the pictures. Not too bad for a 4 year old! You can tell her viewpoint is a little lower than mine. : )

I am so sorry you were sick! It's not contagious via blogs right? Cuz we got it before you did and it was NOT FUN!
