I'm hoping work goes by really quickly tomorrow. I have several things I need to work on, but do you know how hard it is to focus at work when you have a hundred things at home to do before heading out for Spring Break? Heck, I can't focus... not even now.
So, here's the plan for tonight. Taylor is grounded and is jonesing for some computer time, so he's asking if he can write on my blog tonight. So, Take it away Taylor....
Well this is a first for me, well... here goes.
Hmm well since this is supposed to be about something happy, I'll start with my Science class this morning. We are starting to do some very interesting things with this thing called a Bunsen Burner. It looks like a metal candle, you can probably Google it. Anyways, so far we would put chemicals on little rods and put them in the fire. We would just record what color it burned but today we got to do some glass bending! We got a small 4 inch long rod made of glass. We had to bend it at a 90 degree angle. I worked with my partner Trishele. I don't really trust her with her happy, care-free attitude around the flame but she insisted on helping fire polish the ends. We put each end in the fire so they'd smooth out and we wouldn't cut ourselves. Yes, we waited till each end cooled before we started the next. The whole project went really smoothly though. Its a lot easier than it looks, but always remember, (for the hundredth time) safety first!
And.......I'm done. I'll hand this back over to my mom. Peace!
Happiness is having a 15 year old to likes to read and write! He's been teasing me about the whole idea of "theme" nights, so I told him we could make it "Let your kid have a turn writing on your blog night!" Ha! just kidding.
I don't know if we'll have an internet connection while we're on vacation, but I'm keeping my fingers crossed.

That was awesome Taylor! I love how he suggests we can "Google" it if we're not sure what a bunsen burner is. haha And how he doesn't "trust" his lab partner. Kind of fun to hear what's inside their heads!
ReplyDeleteYay for spring break! Mine's almost over. : ( Have fun!
Oh, and if you want more space in your sidebar so your headings aren't squished right to the edges, go into your HTML and add "padding" to your sidebar section. For example:
ReplyDeletepadding: 10px;
You can play with the number, but it should give some space on the sides. : )
