We also took a couple of different personality tests for ourselves and I seem to gravitate towards the same things every time, although I think my personality has changed as I've gotten older. I don't feel quite as outgoing or outspoken as I was in my 20s and early 30s. (at least not at work). Maybe it's because I've only been at my current job about 2 years and I'm just not comfortable enough, or maybe I've learned to keep my mouth shut. Hmmmm... nah.. probably not that last one.
Anyway, they say I'm a promoter (versus the controller, supporter or analyzer). Promoters get really excited about an idea and just take off with it. They're really good about starting projects, but need all those other personality types on their team, because they get distracted easily and sometimes have trouble finishing. I have projects that I probably started before Taylor was born that I've still never finished.
There's quite a bit more to it, but I'll have to pick this up at a later date. Jason just came in and wants to head out to dinner. I wanted to post a pic or two that I took today. Sydney had dance class this morning and then went to a friend's birthday party at the gymnastics gym. It's in a big warehouse and while I played with every setting on my camera, I still have no clue what I'm doing, so out of the 50 pictures I took, 45 were blurry. Anyway... here they are... Straight out of the camera!
Here's Chase in the foam pit! Always a big winner with the kids.
Chase liked to run down the long trampoline instead of bounce down it. He runs so fast, it's hard to catch him at all!
Chase was pretty impressive on the rings, too.
Sydney really got into the rings, too. Chase just sort of hung there, but Sydney would twist around and swing a little.
They also played a game with hula hoops and foam blocks. The idea was that they would put one foam block in their hula hoop circle on the floor and then steal foam blocks from other people. The one with the most blocks wins. I think it was a bit much for most of the 4 year olds at the party, but everyone seemed to have fun. Chase needed a little help from Dad to guard his block.
Sydney doesn't quite have the competitive nature that some of the girls had. You can tell by the number of blocks she's holding.
Jason and I just sat off to the side and watched. That's when I noticed that I was taking pictures looking right into a mirror. **hi** : )

Here's the group at the end. The photographer asked them to all make a funny face. Can you find Sydney? Chase is way in the background looking into the mirror. You can see his red shirt, but that's about it.

Aww - looks like a great party! I took gymnastics as a kid, so I remember how fun those foam pits and trampolines are! Though my mom was our instructor, so I didn't get to goof off, haha.
ReplyDeleteAnd Ms. Promoter... I think all of us have a few projects we haven't quite gotten finished with! I think it ultimately comes down to prioritizing... especially when time with your kids becomes most important :)
